Robot Tested for Airport Check-In
Any technology that speeds up check-in and time at the airport, and functions well, would be a great improvement to the current system. While these robots are set to target premium travelers, after the beta testing, it is likely to hit mainstream as well.

Tesla's Model S on Autopilot gets the real test — navigating New York City traffic
It is not a self-driving car. Though it is a huge improvement on the old Cruise Control. With CC on you can let go of the pedals but you have to hold on to the wheel and, if getting closer to traffic, need to touch the brakes to make sure to keep good distance. With Tesla's Autopilot, you can take foot and hands off. The car will make adjustments as necessary to keep you within the lane and even break and slow down as necessary.

Stroller folds up small enough to fit in a backpack
If you have kids and ever had to travel with a stroller either in the car or on the plane, you know how much of a pain it could be to fold one up and then find enough space to put it in. We were very glad that we have updated our automobile to an SUV before our kid was born as I don't know how we would have fit half the stuff into the sedan. This stroller makes it even more convenient to travel since it can fold up and be stored in a bag. So technically could be the kid's carry-on luggage.

Modes of Travel Going Electric

Modes of Travel Going Electric

Did You Know?:
Electric cars have existed for almost 100 years. Detroit Electric car was made in 1916 by Anderson Electric Car Company. Production of the electric automobile, powered by a rechargeable lead acid battery, began in 1907. The cars were advertised as reliably getting 80 miles (130 km) between battery recharging (Detroit Electric, wikipedia)

100 years after the first electric cars, the production of these vehicles is back in style. Many of the major manufacturers have released their own version of the electric vehicle. However, not until the last few years have the launches been successful. The biggest success in the electric car market is the Tesla Company that produces 100% of electric only cars. The company and its founder, Elon Musk, recently made the technology news by releasing their previously proprietary blueprints for the car design to the rest of the market to accelerate the production of more efficient vehicles.

Electric Motorcycle
Motorcycles have been one of the loudest engines on the road. For some, the louder the better. Rev up the engine at a stop and take off. Though this old image of motorcycles is changing. The electric engines are replacing the gasoline ones. This trend hit the high gear with the introduction from the iconic motorcycle company, Harley-Davidson, of their own electric powered motorcycle

Electric Scooter
Predecessors to electric motorcycles, scooters with electric motor have been used in towns for quite some time. Since it is a scooter, it is not assumed to have great power or be able to go long distances. Hence, the introduction of electric engine was the right fit for this mode of transportation. There are now many different varieties for electric scooters from large almost motorcycle size to small kids size ones. You can see multiple types here: Electric Scooter(amazon.com link)

The 7 Best Electric Scooters

Electric Bicycle
Best-Electric-Bicycles
Bikes look the same as a regular bicycle, with an addition of a battery pack and motor that connects to the rear wheel. This pack propels the rear wheel forward without manual power. The bike can still be used as a standard bike by pushing on the pedals to make it go. Though with the boost of the electric power, you can maintain higher speeds for longer periods of time

Electric Buses
These have been around for awhile. However, they have previously been confined to the cables running above. A few years ago, they have been unleashed. There are now fleets of the electric powered buses available across major metropolitan areas. Creating less pollution and exhaust idling from stop to stop.

Electric Boat
Electric boats have also been around for many years. Though a significant majority of water vessels currently are powered by diesel and gasoline engines. With electric power getting some boost and distance traveled getting longer, this type of propulsion might be on rebound.
