You really shouldn't leave home without...
From "Sexy titanium travel accessories from Snow Peak" by Pam Mandel on Gadling.com: "The spork is one of those things you really shouldn't leave home without...."
I agree. Spork made out of titanium is even better. It is one of the strongest metals. The other two most useful properties of this metal form are corrosion resistance and the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal. In other words it will not stain and it will feel light in your pack and in your hand. Which is a great thing for long overnight camping trips when you already have a whole lot of gear weighing you down. Spork eliminates the need for both a fork and a spoon.
Some of the uses for spork are: eating noodles, eating soup, break up foods, raking, digging, poking.
It is even useful in the office. Always looking for a spoon and fork around lunchtime? That's gone forever with a spork in your drawer.
Did You Know?:
Spork: Blend of sp(oon sb. + f)ork sb. A proprietary name for a piece of cutlery combining the features of a spoon, fork, (and sometimes, knife). `Spork' is the colloquial term for `Runcible Spoon'
