Drones for Every Level: Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert
This is a guest post by Amanda Shaffer from Advexure.com
Drones are incredible tech devices that defy the statement that “the sky’s the limit.” Many companies are getting in on the drone craze and you may soon be able to have your pizza or the sunscreen that you just bought from Amazon delivered to you via drone. If you’re thinking about purchasing a drone, the following are some great options that can accommodate you based on your skill level.
Beginner Level Drones
The Syma X5C has been noted as one of the best drones for beginners. It’s inexpensive at just around $40 and parts and batteries are pretty easy to find as you learn to maneuver it. The drone is a little bit larger than many of the inexpensive drones, so it’s easier to see while you learn to pilot the craft. It also includes a camera, unlike many beginner drones.
DJI Phantom 4 is much more expensive at around $1,500 but has a longer flight time that can be very helpful when learning to pilot a drone. The camera is good quality so you may be happy that you started off with a drone like this once you start getting some amazing videos and pictures. The drone has smart controls that can help you with maneuvering and shots as you learn.
Intermediate Level Drones
TBS Vendetta is a perfect drone for enthusiasts at an intermediate skill level that love to race their drones. The drone sells for around $500 and is much smaller than most camera drones. The TBS Vendetta can reach speeds of up to 100mph with the right terrain. The drone is designed to survive
crashes and most of the parts can be replaced without the need for soldering.
Yuneec Typhoon Hexacopter
The Typhoon comes with GPS stabilized flight control and smart flight modes that automate take-off and landing, making this a great model for drone enthusiasts that are still learning, but want to upgrade from cheaper models. The drone sells for about $1,000 and offers high-quality videography features such as a 360-degree range of motion, manual camera control options while in flight, and a wide-angle lens.
Expert Level Drones
The DJI Inspire 2 Professional Drone is a little pricey at around $3,000, but will be a great investment if you’re a drone enthusiast. There’s a dual battery system that gives you almost 30 minutes of flight time and a heating system that allows you to fly even in low temperatures. The craft can go from 0 to 50mph in just a few seconds and can reach speeds of up to 67 mph. The high-quality image processing makes this drone ideal for aspiring filmmakers.
Walkera Voyager 4 is made from ultra-light carbon fiber material that helps to improve operational efficiency. There are shock absorbers that reduce vibration, so the image is always stable and crisp. The drone includes retractable landing gear that may take a professional hand to operate. This magnificent drone sells for about $3,600.
