Though the signal is not strong at all places or not available at all in more remote spots. At those times, you will be glad to have the apps below and their option to access information offline.

Pocket
I use this app all of the time. It is a great bookmarking service. You can easily add a page you are interested in for later use and bring it up across many of your devices. The sites and articles saved can be viewed on your phone, tablet, or computer. Most importantly, you can access your content from any device, even when you’re not connected to the internet.
Pocket automatically syncs your items across your devices. It can do so in the background or you can adjust the setting to do it manually. To ensure that your content is available offline, you would need to have Pocket download all the content on the device before heading out.
To use Pocket on your phone, you would need to install the Pocket app. Then just add the share button to the default iOS Share Menu. And now anytime you click on share arrow on your phone, you will see the pocket symbol as well. For more options on how to save to Pocket click here.

XE mobile app is easy to use for quick currency conversion. They also have an Apple Watch version so you can do conversions on the go. It works offline if you don't have a network connection.
