Travel alarm clocks

When traveling for leaisure it is great to wake up whenever. Though even on relaxing trips out of town sometimes you need to wake up earlier and/or on time. On business trips, it goes without saying, you have to be on time for the meetings and get togethers, and cannot alway rely on a wake-up call. And that is why this post is about a nice to have travel gadget, a travel alarm.
Most hotel rooms have a variation of a clock/radio alarm in the room. In most of my travels that is what I utilize to set my wake up time. I have a basic one at home that I learned to manipulate quickly. I found that most of the clock radios that are in hotels have similar controls. However, they take time to set up and sometimes to figure out, especially the newer types. And they also might not work that well or have parts missing. Plus you have to learn anew and set it up every time you travel.
On the other hand, when you have the personal travel alarmwith you, you would set it once with a couple different wake up times and you are good to go. They are vary scalable in terms of the learning curve to find out how to set them up once and then easily do the same on the next trip.
These alarms are also very portable as most of them are light weight and have small dimensions. The pricier once, like the Seiko Advanced Technology Bedside Alarmweigh only 1.9 ounces. Today's travel alarms can have various cool and usefull features like multiple wake-up times, digital photo frame, calming nature sounds and MP3 player. Digital versions can automatically set the time wherever you may be. And some also come with a thermometer and a calendar.
