That's true, smartphones nowadays contains almost everything you need while traveling. There are tons of useful apps out there: AirBnB, Couchsurfing and HostelWorld - for accommodation;
- Hopper, Hitlist - for the best flight deals;
- XE Currency - to see the equivalents to your home currency;
- WiFi Finder - when you need free WiFi;
- Spyglass - for navigation;
- ATM Hunter - shows the nearby ATMs;
-Google Translate.
Very true, Aliona. that is a good starting list. as you said there a lot of apps for just about anything you would do to get ready and on the trip
