Keeping track of your flight

Finding your way around the airport

Google Maps is a great tool for navigating. Moreover, it can also help you find your way inside an airport with its Live View. This feature is available in larger and most popular airports. Once you are inside the airport, open up Google Maps and click on the icon with a pin and words LIVE (usually appears in bottom right). This will open up AR capability of the app and it will help you navigate around. For more tips on getting to and around airport: How to Navigate the Airport

Keep your gadgets charged
It might be tempting while at their airport to plug in your devices into the multitude of electrical outlets available. However, be careful, as the USB plugs in public places can be unsafe and manipulated by bad actors to install data stealing components with them. Keep connected

» Most seats on a plane have the headphone jacks. Though if you, like most these days, have wireless earphones with you only you would be out of luck of watching and listening to movies and shows on the in-flight entertainment. You have a couple of options, get the airline provided crappy wired earphones, or get a Bluetooth Wireless Transmitter. These gadgets plug into that headphone jack, create a Bluetooth connection, and then allow your wireless earbuds to connect to the entertainment system via your phone's Bluetooth.

There is the expensive transmitter called AirFly that has a lot of marketing behind it. However, you can get a much cheaper version that does exactly same thing. That is what I did. I got this kind of Bluetooth 5.2 Transmitter Receiver and it works great. The functions are pretty basic. You have to ensure the device is fully charged. Turn it on. Make sure that Bluetooth on your phone is on. Allow the device to connect to Bluetooth and then start using your wireless earphones and enjoy.
