There are a few significant changes that are going to be released in the 10th version of the iPhone software. The changes that would be beneficial while traveling are:
You can remove music from your iPhone or iPad on the go
If you are out and about and are running low on storage on your phone but need to save that great picture or video you just took, you can create more space. Go to Settings > Music > Optimize Storage. There you can select to remove some of the music that you have not played in a long time from your storage.
Your iPhone will remember where you parked your car automatically
I have tried several different apps and tasks to mark the location of my car when leaving it in a large parking area. None have done a good job of remembering and pinpointing the location. So I am looking forward to this feature where the phone will automatically log the location without having to swipe or wave your phone or writing stuff down.
Improved Maps
Using Maps app, you will now be able to not only find a restaurant but also make reservations. Book a table through apps like OpenTable, within the app. You will also be able to search along your route. See what’s around the corner and easily find the closest places for gas, food, or coffee.
Photos
Photos app will now be keyword searchable. And what is pretty cool is that you don't have to enter tags for each of your photos. The app would be able to recognize what is in the photo and use that in search results. Search your photos by the people or things in them, like a beach, a football game, or a puppy and you will get a list of photos with those images.
